Step 1 - Activating the Yeast
1) Add warm water to a bowl
2) Then add 1 Tablespoon of vegan sugar and mix it till it dissolves
3)Then add 1 Teaspoon of yeast to the water and mix just a little
Let this rest for 15 mins which will help the yeast to get active
Step 2 - Making the dough
1) To a big bowl add 300 grams of all purpose flour
2) 2 tablespoons of olive oil
3) 1 Teaspoon of salt
4) Add the activated yeast water
5) Mix everything till its well combined
6) Kneed the dough (15 minutes till it gets really soft)
Tip - Add water or extra flour as per the requirement so the dough is neither dry nor sticky
7) Once the dough is done, start tucking it from outside to inside giving it a perfect round shape
8) To the same bowl, add some olive oil and brush it evenly throughout the bowl and then add the dough to the bowl and apply olive oil to it
9) Cover it with a plastic film and let it rest for 2 hours in which it will double in size
Step 3 - Working the Dough
1) Take the dough out and massage it a little and then rearrange it in a regtangle shape (add dry flour if the dough is too sticky)
2) Roughly divide the dough in 8 pieces
3) Now make individual balls from each piece and repeat the process of tucking the dough from outside to inside
4) Once done, cover the balls using a towel or plastic film and let them rest for 45 mins in which they will again expand a little
Step 4 - Rolling the dough in circular shapes
1) Add some dry flour to a flat base and using a roller or a bottle start rolling the dough
2) Repeat the same with the rest of the dough balls
Step 5 - Cooking Pita Bread on a pan
1) Heat a pan
2) Add few drops of oil and brush it throughout the pan
3) Once the pan is hot, add the pita base to the pan
4) Let it cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes and then flip it
5) Let it cook on other side too for 2-3 minutes
6) You will see the Pita bread rising and will have beautiful pocket golden patches

I can't manually knead the dough. Is it possible to knead in my kitchenaid with a dough hook? If so, how to tell when it is ready? Thank you.
Love it
