Steps
1) Activating the Yeast: Add sugar to lukewarm water and mix till it dissolves. Then add the dry yeast and, let it rest & activate for 15 mins
2) For the Dressing: To a new bowl, add melted vegan butter, finely chopped garlic, oregano and mix herbs, finely chopped parsley, salt, olive oil & mix well
3) Preparing the Dough: To the stand mix, add all-purpose flour, salt, olive oil, grated garlic cloves, vegan butter & activated yeast water. Mix and knead till the dough turns soft or use the stand mixer.
4) Once the dough is ready, add olive oil to the bowl and brush it evenly. Place the dough back in the bowl. Cover it and let it rise for 1-2 hours
5) Once the dough is risen, take it out on a flatter surface and divide it into smaller parts. Make sure to add some dry flour so it's easier to work with the dough. Add the vegan cheese, and wrap individual parts of the dough into a smaller dough ball. Watch the YouTube Video for reference.
6) Place the dough ball in the garlic butter dressing, brush the dressing over the dough ball, and then place it in the oven tray till it's filled.
7) Add grated vegan cheese(optional) to the baking gray covering the dough. Cover and let it rise further for 1 hour.
8) Bake in a preheated for 35-40 minutes over 180 C
9) Brush it with the garlic butter dressing(optional) and serve hot.
10) Take the bread from the baking tray and place it on a wire rack so it doesn’t get overcooked or soggy because of the steam.
11) Flip it gently. It should be soft, golden, and bouncy at this time.
This is the perfect dish for get-togethers when you have friends over.
